In TouchDesigner we can customize operators in the Component family by adding Custom Parameters. Custom parameters enable you to create a variety of parameter types on user-defined pages of the Parameter Dialog. These parameters make it possible for you to build entire custom reusable components that can be used across projects.
Custom parameters can be made on any COMP by right clicking on the operator and selecting “Customize Component…”. Then typically you type in a new parameter name, pick a type like Float, and then click “Add Par”. You can then drag-drop the new parameter to a parameter of another operator and create a bind or reference.
