Perform Mode & Output Basics

Overview:

TouchDesigner has two different modes of operation – Designer Mode and Perform Mode. In Designer mode you can add operators, edit networks, and work with the TouchDesigner authoring UI. Most of the creative work you do with TouchDesigner happens in Designer Mode. When using TouchDesigner for an installation or performance, however, you may want to use Perform Mode. Perform Mode is optimized for the output of the network you’ve created, and won’t load the TouchDesigner authoring interface by default.

Note: You can enter Perform mode at any time by using the F1 key, and return to Designer mode with the Escape key.
