Overview:

Patterns are combinations of curves in TouchDesigner that can drive interactive elements or be used in modelling 3D surfaces. There are lots of ways to build patterns in CHOPs, and one of the easiest CHOPs to help us is the Pattern CHOP

The Pattern CHOP is a good example of a multi-sample CHOP. In a default Pattern CHOP we see a graphed curve that’s labeled chan1 – this curve represents a sequence of numbers that are all stored in the same channel. Channels with multiple samples might represent a motion graph, color maps, roll-off curves, lookup tables, and much more.
