Creating a Feedback

Overview:

If you’ve spent much time playing with video equipment, or with screen sharing tools you’ve probably encountered video feedback – the moment when your screen becomes a tunnel of repeating images. When working with video and images we might use feedback for building patterns or creating visual effects.

The Feedback TOP is especially useful in TouchDesigner as it allows us to create feedback loops without creating cook dependencies or infinitely recursive loops. The Feedback TOP gives us any image from the previous frame. In these examples we see how we can use that to our advantage to create trails, patterns, and other visual effects.
