Overview:

CHOPs are Channel Operators – we can think of these as the nervous system of our TouchDesigner networks. Used for processing sensor data, large arrays, animation data, handling timing and event coordination, and much more. CHOPs come in two varieties: Single and multi-sample CHOPs. Every CHOP is made up of channels and samples. Channels are listed in a CHOP with names that run from top to bottom in the operator. For example, our Mouse In CHOP has two channels – tx and ty, which correspond to the x and y position of our mouse on screen.
